Signature Events Team
Overview
The SEAT team gives students the opportunity to get involved in large-scale fundraising and recognition events while gaining real, hands-on experience. Itโs designed for students who want to step outside the classroom and see what goes into planning and executing professional events. From logistics and coordination to guest experience and event flow, members get a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to make high-level events successful.
Through SEAT, students donโt just observe, they actively participate in event operations, building practical skills in communication, organization, and teamwork. Members also have the chance to interact with accomplished professionals, donors, and leaders, creating valuable networking opportunities and exposure to different career paths.
While SEAT is not competition-based, it is centered around involvement in some of Northwoodโs most prominent events. The team primarily supports four signature events: the Auto Show Gala, the Distinguished Womenโs Gala, the Outstanding Business Leader Awards, and, every other year, the Presidentโs Freedom Celebration. These events bring together influential guests and require a high level of professionalism, giving students meaningful, real-world experience.
SEAT is a great way for students to build their resume, develop transferable skills, and be part of impactful events that make a difference on campus and in the community.
Auto Show Gala
The Auto Show Gala is a premier event that brings together industry professionals, donors, and guests for an evening celebrating innovation in the automotive world while supporting student opportunities at Northwood.
Distinguished Women’s Gala
The Distinguished Womenโs Gala is a signature event that celebrates and honors accomplished women leaders, giving students the opportunity to be part of a meaningful evening that recognizes excellence, leadership, and impact.
Outstanding Business Leaders Awards
The Outstanding Business Leader Awards is a signature event that recognizes and celebrates influential leaders for their impact, innovation, and contributions to the business world, while giving students the opportunity to engage with and learn from top professionals.
President’s Freedom Celebration
The Presidentโs Freedom Celebration is an event that honors and celebrates American values, bringing together distinguished speakers and guests for an evening focused on leadership, service, and patriotism connecting back to Northwood.
