Giving to Northwood
Northwood University is growing. The recent additions of the Sloan Family Building for Aftermarket Study, the Swalwell Student Union, the Gaubert Student Activities Building, and the Countess de Hoernle Student Activities Center are recent philanthropic acts allowing Northwood to experience growth. Each of Northwood's three campuses offer vivid reminders of the impact major gifts have on the University. Donations have included funds to provide new classroom buildings, residence halls, the graduate school, athletic fields, equipment purchases, improvements, and curriculum development.
Fundamental to The Northwood Idea is the American economic system, based solidly and securely on free enterprise. Several components are central to our continued success - education, entrepreneurship, ethics and, lastly, endowments.
A Northwood education is made possible by individuals and businesses who understand the power of philanthropy. Gifts that empower the beliefs making the American economy the strongest in the world are the capstone of a life well lived. Sharing success, supporting education, and giving the next generation an opportunity keeps the system working.
There are many opportunities to support Northwood University. Gifts to Northwood University qualify as charitable contributions to higher education. For specific information, please contact your tax advisor. In general, the federal government allows a tax deduction for donors who itemize on their tax return. The State of Michigan offers tax credits to residents and corporations. Payments given to benefit specific students or individuals are not donations.
