September 11, 2019

Northwood University has announced the 2019 honorees for the institution’s annual Distinguished Women Awards. The awards honor women from across the country who have made a difference in their business and community, all while upholding the vision and ethical values of Northwood University.

The 2019 class of honorees includes:

  • Mary Anderson, Executive Director of Human Resources Global Markets & Mobility, Ford Motor Company

  • JoAnn T. Crary, President of Saginaw Future Inc.

  • Kristen Hadeed Founder of Student Maid Inc.

  • Molly MacDonald, Founder & CEO of the Pink Fund

  • Kathleen B. McCann, Executive Chairman of the United Road Services Inc.

  • Sandy Lamerson Morrison, Former Vice president of Development of Oakland Family Services

  • Rhonda Walker, News Anchor of WDIV Local 4 News and President of the Rhonda Walker Foundation

The Distinguished Women Award was created 50 years ago to honor the enormous contributions of women. The award is a recognition of excellence where the recipients represent the very ideals Northwood instills in its students: commitment to free enterprise, the partnership of arts and business, and the management of global commerce. All honorees past and present serve as role models for Northwood University students.

When organizations and institutions connect to contribute toward the common good, they have the power to transform the marketplace for the better. This class of Distinguished Women exemplifies the Northwood Idea and embraces what it truly means to Go Make A Difference.

Northwood University bestows the tremendous honor of the Distinguished Woman Award over a multi-day celebration ending with a formal gala event where the members will receive a bronze medallion. The 2019 gala will be held at the Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw, Michigan on November 2, 2019.
