Bay Harbor Symposium to Feature Tax Policy Conversation with Hon. Dave Camp

July 10, 2017

Former Chairman of the Committee on Ways and Means, Hon. Dave Camp, will deliver a keynote address on tax policy at Northwood University’s 11th Annual Bay Harbor Symposium on Saturday, August 19, starting at 10:00 A.M. at the Bay Harbor Yacht Club in Bay Harbor, Michigan.

Camp, former Member of the United States House of Representatives, is a Senior Policy Advisor within Pricewaterhouse Cooper’s Washington National Tax Services practice. As part of the House Republication leadership from 2010 to 2014, Camp played a major role in the formation of policy on a wide range of issues such as tax policy, international trade, Medicare, Social Security and fiscal policy issues, for more than two decades.

In March 2014, Camp introduced the Tax Reform Act of 2014, the most comprehensive tax reform proposal since the mid-1980’s. The Camp proposal, as it became known, is widely recognized as the foundational text for significant business and international tax reform in the future.

The symposium will focus on American tax policy, and also feature Northwood’s  Timothy Nash, Senior Vice President and Director of Robert C. and Janice McNair Center for the Advancement of Free Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. Nash will provide highlights on Michigan’s economy and a national economic outlook for the year so far.

Northwood University hosts the annual event for friends and family of the university, and welcomes the public to the free and open symposium. Interested attendees are encouraged to register and find more information at: https://www.northwood.edu/symposium.
