Northwood University has been recognized by the Sales Education Foundation as one of the Top Sales Programs in the United States for 2025–2026, marking the third consecutive year the university has received this prestigious national distinction.

The recognition highlights Northwood University’s continued commitment to developing future sales professionals through experiential learning, industry engagement, and career-focused education. Northwood’s sales management degree program, supported by the Sales Education Foundation and the Northwood University Center for Professional Sales Education, equips students with the practical skills and real-world experience needed to succeed in today’s competitive business environment.

“Earning this recognition for the third year in a row reflects the intentional work our faculty, students, and industry partners have invested in building a high-impact sales program,” said Dr. Andrew Anderson, assistant professor of marketing at Northwood University. “Our students are gaining hands-on experience in professional selling, communication, and relationship management — skills that are highly valued by employers across industries.”

Northwood University’s sales program gives students a wide range of opportunities beyond traditional sales coursework, including live role-playing simulations, national sales competitions, employer networking events, and internships. Students also benefit from access to dedicated training spaces designed for recording and evaluating sales interactions, allowing them to refine their skills in a professional setting.

Through partnerships with leading companies and alumni, students engage directly with industry professionals, gaining exposure to real-world sales challenges and career pathways. These connections help students secure internships and full-time positions in fields such as technology, health care, financial services, and business-to-business sales.

“Northwood University’s approach to sales education emphasizes ethical leadership, relationship-building, and the integration of technology in modern selling, ensuring graduates are well-prepared to meet the evolving demands of the profession,” said Dr. Stacey Tetloff, dean of undergraduate programs. “This national recognition from the Sales Education Foundation affirms the strength of our sales curriculum, the dedication of our faculty, and the success of our students.”

In addition to classroom learning, Northwood students actively compete in national collegiate sales competitions, where they develop and demonstrate their abilities in areas such as sales presentations, negotiation, prospecting, and client relationship management. These experiences build confidence, professionalism, and a competitive edge in the job market.

Northwood University is an active member of the University Sales Center Alliance, the premier hub for sales education and research in the academic world. Through this affiliation, Northwood students can earn the USCA Sales Certification, a nationally recognized credential that validates their proficiency in key competencies like professional selling, ethical decision-making, and customer relationship management.

“This certification further distinguishes Northwood graduates in the job market, signaling to employers that they have met rigorous, industry-aligned standards and are prepared to contribute immediately to professional sales roles,” Anderson said.
