Students from Northwood University earned top honors across all competitive tracks at the third annual American Marketing Association Regional Sales and Perfect Pitch Competition, Feb. 7.

Several additional Northwood students secured podium finishes in the role play competition, including Claire Gonyea (first place), Ava Weeks, Addison Waito, and Laina Tomei (second place), while Cameron Bourdeau finished third overall and earned the competition’s Objection Slayer honor. Individual performance awards were also presented to Weeks (Adaptability Ace) and Waito (Confidence Crusader).
Northwood students also dominated the Perfect Pitch Competition, sponsored by Eight Eleven Group, claiming four of the top five finalist spots. Reagan Cordes earned first place, followed by Maureen Fenoll (third), Nick Hagen (fourth), and Isaac Fernandez (fifth).
“These competitions give our students a chance to put theory into practice in high-pressure, real-world scenarios,” said Dr. Andrew Anderson, adviser for Northwood’s AMA chapter. “We are proud of how our students represented themselves and the university, and we are grateful to our industry partners for investing their time, expertise, and support in helping prepare the next generation of sales and marketing leaders.”
Anderson also extended thanks to Fastenal for sponsoring the competition and providing judging assistance, as well as United Wholesale Mortgage and GM Financial, which also sponsored the Feb. 7 events. Other schools in attendance included U-M Flint, Eastern Michigan University, and Albion College.
