DECA is an internationally recognized organization dedicated to preparing high school and college students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, entrepreneurship, and other business activities through academic competition and experiential learning. Using hands-on learning and real-world applications, DECA members have the opportunity to test their mettle against competitors and be judged by industry professionals, leaving them ready to conquer the world of business.

With a strong focus on professional development and individual growth, Northwood DECA provides students with opportunities to apply what they learn in the classroom to real business situations and builds leaders in the world of business. Northwood University competitors frequently hold leadership positions in DECA state and even international leadership.
With hosting one of the largest Collegiate DECA chapters in Michigan, we believe that students who positively represent themselves and the university on the national stage deserve our support. Northwood University supports DECA competitors financially both in their competition travel and through available competitive scholarships.
