Welcoming Back the Students

January 31, 2014

Student activities have been booming as we welcomed back the students from their winter break. With events ranging from a Casino Night filled with big prizes and giveaways to a bonfire filled with s‘mores and hot chocolate, the student attendance and excitement for events have been better than ever.Sophomore Ian Folsom, a baseball player and winner of the iPad Mini at our Welcome Back Casino Night, had these comments to say about the event, “I had a blast and couldn’t believe I actually won the iPad Mini. It was fun to have such a large group of students at the event and I look forward to attending the next Casino Night along with other student events coming up.”

Along with these fun student activities, we also had our Spring Organizations’ Fair on January 22 and 23. This fair gave students the opportunity to check out both new and well-established student organizations. Freshman Zachery Bills stated, “After getting used to the college life in the fall semester, I feel like it’s time for me to get involved on campus. The Organizations Fair is helping me to do just that.”

We look forward to many other successful and fun student activities occurring throughout the semester and, most importantly, the experiences and memories the students are receiving from them.
