WardsAuto partners with Northwood University for new scholarship to foster the development of tomorrow’s automotive retail and marketing leaders

March 7, 2017

Auto industry news and insights leader WardsAuto has partnered with Northwood University for the WardsAuto Annual Scholarship, established to provide $2,000 annually for students enrolled in the university’s storied automotive marketing and management program. The scholarship is seen as a natural extension of WardsAuto’s mission to serve the vital information needs of automotive manufacturers, suppliers and dealers, educating them on current and future industry trends that will impact every auto professional’s role in the months and years to come.

“The WardsAuto Annual Scholarship is really a win-win-win proposition,” said Larry Schlagheck, WardsAuto’s managing director. “The selected students benefit from tuition assistance, while Northwood and WardsAuto build on a relationship that furthers our common goal of educating and informing future auto manufacturing and retail professionals.”

Having served the auto industry’s information needs for more than 90 years, WardsAuto recognized that many of its readers were Northwood University alumni and jumped at the opportunity to partner with the institution to support its automotive management and marketing program, which has graduated automotive professionals, dealers and leaders for more than 50 years.

“We are proud to have had a long relationship with WardsAuto,” said Keith Petty, President and CEO of Northwood University. “Northwood is uniquely positioned to help develop the next generation of leaders in this industry, and scholarship opportunities like this help to make that possible.”

The scholarship will be made available starting in fall 2017. Students who wish to be considered are encouraged to apply at www.northwood.edu.
