Values Emphasis Week Events to Highlight Northwood University’s Mission, Emphasis on Creativity and the Arts

Northwood University Florida Campus President Dr. Tom Duncan and President Emeritus Dr. David E. Fry will celebrate the vision of founders Dr. Arthur Turner and Dr. Gary Stauffer in observance of the founding of Northwood University in Alma, Michigan on March 23, 1959 while reflecting on the Northwood University Florida Campus’ rich 30-year history. The presentation, titled “A Conversation with Dr. David E. Fry” will be held Thursday, March 20th from 3:30 pm – 4:45 pm at the Northwood University Florida Campus DeVos-Cook Academic Center Room 100.

In accordance with Northwood University’s emphasis on the integration of creativity and free-enterprise through intentional and mindful cultivation to realize inventions, innovations and new business opportunities in entrepreneurship and family enterprise, additional Values Emphasis Week events are offered. Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to attend a creativity workshop led by Dr. Sherry Penn-Crawford to be held Wednesday, March 19th from 2:00pm – 3:00pm at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center Room 123, and a dance workshop which will be taught by Florida Registrar Dawn Musgrave-Demarest and her husband Greg at the Countess de Hoernle Student Life Center Aerobics room on Tuesday, March 18th from 3:30pm – 4:30pm.
