Value Emphasis Speaker Series

January 31, 2014

The Career Development classes on the Northwood University Texas campus recently enjoyed presentations from speaker Darren Ford, founder of ProCulture Consulting.Ford shared with students his thoughts on what is needed to be successful in today’s business world and encouraged them to be lifelong learners. After his visit with the classes, he said, “I enjoyed speaking at Northwood University. The students were certainly engaged and asked some great questions. I also enjoyed several after-class discussions with a few students and have no doubt the students from these Career Development classes will one day make their mark on the world!”

“One of the distinct benefits that Northwood University offers its students is the ability to interact and listen to professionals still active in the corporate world. It is always appreciated by our students and we are thankful for the relationships we have built with these business individuals,” remarked Celeste Lindell, director of career services.

Senior Brandon Alvarez commented, “I just want to let you know I really enjoyed the speaker we had last class.” This echoed the thoughts of several other students who asked if Ford could return for another class later in the semester.

A final comment from Ford captured the essence of the presentations—“These juniors and seniors are part of the unique and amazing millennial generation and, like other millennials I’ve talked to, these young people are ready to shake up the business world.”
