Tickets available for Harley-Davidson Softail Raffle to Help NU Football

March 15, 2024

A limited number of tickets are available in a raffle of a 2024 Harley-Davidson Softail that has been donated to support Northwood University Football.

“We are thrilled to offer this unique fundraising opportunity for our football program,” stated Northwood Football Coach Dustin Beurer.

Development Officer Leonard Haynes said Northwood is grateful to the raffle sponsor, Emerald Coast Harley-Davidson in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, which is owned by NU Football alum Dan Gusoff.

“We played football together for two years here at Northwood, and Dan was still on the team when I came back to Northwood to coach for a year after I graduated,” Leonard said. “We reconnected years later, and I was pleased to learn he has done very well for himself! It makes sense because Dan is a very generous, sincere, and solid man. He loves giving back to his community and helping military veterans.”

Beurer explained money from the raffle will go to the football program’s restricted budget, which funds things like equipment and travel.

“This helps us improve the overall student-athlete experience,” Beurer added. “I would like to thank Dan for stepping up and offering our program the opportunity to raise much-needed funds!”

The raffle for the 2024 Harley-Davidson Softail will be held at 3 p.m. June 17, 2024, during the annual Northwood Alumni Golf Outing at the Fortress Golf Course in Frankenmuth.

Tickets are $100, and only 500 tickets are available. The winner does not have to be present at the raffle to win.

Individuals must be age 18 or older to purchase a raffle ticket. The raffle winner will be responsible for any state or local taxes, fees, title and registration.
