NU names first-ever Class of 20 Under 40 honorees

Northwood University is pleased to announce its inaugural cohort of 20 Under 40 honorees.

Established this year, the 20 Under 40 program recognizes NU alumni who are ambitious professionals doing great things in their careers, organizations, or communities.

“We received over 200 nominations, which made it very difficult for our selecting committee to choose just 20,” stated Julie Adamczyk, executive director of Alumni Relations. “The response highlighted the impact NU alumni have in their careers, communities, and businesses.”

The 20 Under 40 honorees include:

• John Allen ‘06, general manager and vice president, Allen Chevrolet Cadillac

• Kelly Baumgartner ‘09, vice president and financial advisor, Morgan Stanley

• Brittney Bemb ‘08, vice president of operations, Bluewater Technologies

• Ryan Caldwell ‘15, regional sales manager, Suburban Automotive Services

• Rosalind Dixon ‘12, national account executive, Meet Minneapolis Convention & Visitors Association

• Connor Doyle ‘16, pricing manager – light duty Ram trucks, Stellantis

• Victor George ‘12, account executive, Lightico

•  Allison Gustafson ‘15, CEO and candle connoisseur, Applewood Candle Co.

•  James Hannah ‘11, retail marketing manager, Kia America, Inc.

•  Katie Holton ‘18 ‘19, finance analyst, Ford Motor Company

•  Nick Kaufmann ‘16, senior financial analyst, GSTV

•  Joseph Legato ‘08, owner, Bill & Rod’s Appliance, Inc.

•  Alex Maki ‘10, director of marketing, Edward Rose and Sons

These alumni will be honored at Northwood University’s Alumni Recognition Night on Friday, April 14, at Detroit PAL’s headquarters, The Corner Ballpark in Detroit.

“Northwood has had a partnership with Detroit PAL for many years, and we are excited to be able to celebrate our alumni honorees at such a unique location,” Adamczyk stated.

Alumni Recognition Night will also celebrate the 2023 Richard M. DeVos Young Entrepreneur award recipient Grant Baidas, a 2010 graduate who owns The Exchange Bar & Grill; Alumni Impact Award recipient Donald Tabron, 2000/2003 graduate; and the Northwood President’s Circle of Young Alumni members.
