Northwood University to Host Second Annual Entertainment & Sport Management Symposium

Northwood University will host its second annual Entertainment & Sport Management Symposium from 10p.m. till 3p.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. This Symposium, sponsored by the Entertainment & Sport Promotion Management Association and Professor Preston James IV, will be held in the Griswold Lecture Hall, on Northwood’s Midland campus located at 4000 Whiting Drive. This event is free of charge and open to the public.The symposium will consist of two panel discussions. The morning panel discussion will be on the topic of women in the sports industry, followed by the afternoon panel discussing how to get into the sports industry. Featured speakers include Chris Howard, director of football NCAA; Danielle Harris, assistant commissioner of compliance GLIAC; Erin Mazurek, director of private event sales Detroit Red Wings; Talia Mark, associate director USA Track & Field; Arionne Allen, associate director of youth programs USA Track & Field; Theodore Moye, stage manager Tyler Perry Productions and sound engineer for Prince, and Howie Bell, comedian & promoter.
