Northwood University is pleased to welcome two new full-time faculty members to its Florida campus.
Dr. Michael Olsher will become Assistant Professor for Entrepreneurship and will serve as the department chair for both Entrepreneurship and International Business. Dr. Olsher joins Northwood University with over 40 years of senior management experience in the steel industry, including 25 years as founder and chief executive officer of Olsher Steel, an international steel distribution and processing company. Dr. Olsher holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Fordham University and an MBA from New York University. He has taught for a number of universities around the country including the Columbia University Graduate School of Business. He joined Northwood University in 2013 as an adjunct professor of Economics and Entrepreneurship.
James B. Ward will serve as Assistant Professor and department chair for the Hospitality Management program. Mr. Ward will be awarded his Ph.D. in Hospitality Administration from Texas Tech University in August of this year. He holds bachelor and master degrees in Restaurant, Hotel and Institutional Management from the same institution. Mr. Ward has taught for Texas Tech, the American Public University system and Odessa College. He also has over 15 years of service and management experience in the hospitality industry.
