Earns high marks for bachelor’s and graduate programs; MBA; and veterans

U.S. News & World Report announced this week that five Northwood University programs ranked high enough in their disciplines to be recognized as 2023 U.S. News Best Online Programs.

“This is an incredible honor, as these rankings are a highly-respected and in-depth evaluation of U.S.-based degree-granting programs delivered online,” stated Dr. Kristin Stehouwer, provost and academic vice president at Northwood University.

U.S. News & World Report annually ranks online programs based on a formula evaluating student engagement, admissions selectivity, peer reputation, faculty credentials and training and student services and technology. The U.S. News 2023 Best Online Programs rankings were released Tuesday, Jan. 24.

Northwood’s rankings are as follows:

• Bachelor’s —  No. 139
• Graduate Business — No. 75
• MBA — No. 169
• Veterans-Bachelor’s — No. 93
• Veterans-Graduate Business — No. 93

“Receiving this recognition further validates our long-standing efforts to support our servicemen and women,” Stehouwer noted. “We are indebted to those who have served our country in the military and our faculty and staff are devoted to providing an environment that helps them achieve their academic and personal goals.”

Dr. Matt Bennett, vice president of graduate enrollment and professional studies, noted Northwood University’s Richard DeVos Graduate School of Management delivers a highly practical and accessible education that combines knowledge, skills, and career connections to equip students for management success in any type or size organization.

“For working professionals interested in developing their leadership skills, a deeper understanding of free-enterprise and an entrepreneurial mindset, Northwood provides a flexible and convenient learning community of students, faculty, staff and alumni who are bonded by an unparalleled commitment to advancing their futures as business leaders, managers and owners,” Bennett added. “It’s a recipe for success, as proven by this national recognition.”
