Northwood University Adjunct Professor Jeff Blum has been appointed as part of the 12 member transition team to review the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue for Pennsylvania Governor Elect Tom Wolf.

Working under team chair Rick Gray, who also serves as mayor of Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Blum will collaborate with the outgoing administration to better understand the issues and challenges that face the executive branch.

Possessing over 40 years of experience handling Pennsylvania state and local tax controversies, real estate tax appeals and state and local tax planning matters, Blum has served on transition teams for the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue for the administrations of both Governor Ridge and Governor Rendell.

The retired national leader of the Deloitte Multistate Tax Desk and Controversy Services practice, Blum was listed among the Best Lawyers in America for twenty years for his expertise in Pennsylvania tax matters.

After gaining both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Pittsburgh, Blum earned his Master of Laws degree in taxation from George Washington University. He began his career working as a United States Department of Justice’s tax division trial attorney.
