Mannequin Night returns to downtown Midland thanks to the Northwood University Fashion Marketing and Management Department on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 6:30pm – 8pm.
Northwood University students, dressed as mannequins will fill the storefront windows of downtown businesses as part of this year’s “Color Me Midland” theme which will feature brilliant shades from all walks of life. Sponsored by the Northwood University Fashion Marketing and Management Department and the Midland Downtown Business Association, the event provides valuable opportunities for Northwood University students to provide knowledge gained from their curriculum toward real-world marketing experiences.
Required to have an internship prior to graduation, Northwood University Fashion Marketing and Management students study the various components of a manufacturer’s or retailer’s promotional techniques, the evolution of apparel and accessories from the Egyptian period to today’s current fashions, all aspects of the textile industry including fiber, fabrics, prints, finishes, care, and more.
