Florida Faculty Recognized at Commencement Ceremony

Northwood University’s Florida Campus honors convocation and commencement ceremonies recently held special surprises for two faculty members as they were recognized for their contributions.

Kevin Petrovsky, Associate Academic Dean and Associate Professor of Environmental Science and Sustainability Management was recognized for his dedication and expertise by being awarded the Faculty Excellence Award.  Established over 30 years ago, the Northwood University Award of Faculty Excellence recognizes a faculty member who has made an outstanding contribution to the university. It is the highest professional award given by the University.

Jennifer McFarland

In addition, Jennifer McFarland Associate Professor and Department Chair of Florida’s Advertising and Marketing program was selected by members of the senior class to receive The Samuel R. Marotta Ethics Award. The award criteria is based on selecting the faculty member who has most challenged student perspectives regarding the kind of moral issues they may face in their careers and how they might respond to those challenges.
