Northwood University invites the community to participate in an April 4 blood drive.
All donors will receive a $10 e-gift card, thanks to Versiti Blood Center of Michigan, which is hosting the blood drive in the Student Union at Northwood University, 4000 Whiting Dr., Midland.
The drive will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday, April 4, and attendees are encouraged to make an appointment online at versiti.org/mi.
The event also will feature the ability for donors to join the Gift of Life Marrow Registry, which matches donors to people who have blood cancer. Gift of Life is a national, public, not-for-profit registry that facilitates transplants for patients in the U.S. and abroad.
Joining the registry involves a simple cheek swab. For more information, visit www.giftoflife.org.
