Aberro Creative, a marketing agency founded by Northwood University Michigan alumni Dustin Neumeyer and Steve Cronk along with colleague Drew Schafer, recently won Best of Show at the 2015 Great Lakes Bay Region American Advertising Awards.“It’s a huge honor,” smiled Neumeyer of the campaign which promoted Midnight on Main, Midland’s New Year’s Eve celebration, through social media videos, billboards, and a television ad that told the story of a man who began waiting for Midnight on Main inordinately early. “To win the area’s most prestigious advertising award after our first year of business is extremely gratifying, especially considering the quality of entries in this year’s competition,” he said.
“We needed a fresh, new marketing approach for Midnight on Main and Aberro Creative hit a home run,” stated Selina Tisdale, executive director of the Downtown Midland Development Authority, “The Midnight on Main steering committee is thrilled to see this great work recognized by the ADDY Awards.”
Both 2011 graduates, Cronk served as a digital strategist at a Washington D.C. communications firm and Neumeyer worked as a tour manager for a Chicago-based event marketing company prior to founding the organization in 2013 along with Schafer, a freelance graphic designer.
