Yan Bowers graduated from Northwood University in 2012 with a major in Accounting. She currently works for Plante Moran as a Senior Manager.
While in high school, Yan knew she wanted to pursue a career in accounting. Northwood allowed her to do just that at the beginning of her freshman year. Her Northwood experience allowed her to pursue accounting right away, which has led her to a successful career in the accounting career field.
Yan’s favorite Northwood memory: Before starting her freshman year, Yan met another freshman in an NU Class of 2012 Facebook group, and though they had never met, they ended up hitting it off right away. They decided to convince their assigned roommates to room with one another so that Yan and her new friend could be roommates. This roommate switch has a happy ending, as they are now still best friends to this day!
