Joan Evelyn Titus

Joan Evelyn Titus was born in Chicago, Illinois. She is married to John Williford Titus and they have two children. Mrs. Titus is a graduate of North Dakota University and took her internship in nutrition and dietetics at the University of Chicago. Following her studies, she worked as a therapeutic dietician at Wesley Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She is a member of Phi Upsilon Omicron, home economics honorary and Delta Gamma fraternity. Joan Titus has served as president of the Parent Teacher League for Our Redeemer Lutheran School, president and treasurer of the Athenaeum Book Club, president of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church Women’s Auxiliary and as Northwood FAD Auction chairman for two years. She is a charter member of the Dallas chapter of the Northwood National Women’s Board. She is also active in the American Dietetic Association, “Opera Action” Dallas, Delta Gamma sorority and the American Cancer Society and Heart Association drives. “I am vitally interested in preserving and sustaining the free enterprise spirit which fuels the economy of the United States. Through all the endeavors of Northwood in holding this principle of free enterprise as a basic foundation for the school, it is enriching the minds and lives of its students for better futures and to be wiser Americans.”
