Kristen Venable

Kristen Venable graduated from the University of Texas with majors in history, mathematics and English. Married to Robert A. Venable of Dallas, she has been active on the boards of the Dallas Civic Opera, Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, the Dallas Civic Ballet, Dallas Symphony, Dallas Civic Opera Guild and Theatre Three, Inc. She is the founding president of The Assemblage and the president of 500 Inc. She is a member of Amici Della Musica, Amici Della Venice, Associazione Sportiva Asolo and the Friends of Venice, Dallas chapter. Her many contributions to the preservation of Italy’s culture and history have earned her the Gold Medal from the City of Venice for “outstanding contributions to the cultural life and restoration” of that city. She is an active member of Pro Loco, an organization that promotes the history of Asolo (Italy), through pageants for the enrichment and enjoyment of visiting tourists. A member of Northwood’s National Women’s Board International chapter, she is active in promoting an exchange of the arts through education programs which enrich the lives of many in America and Europe.
