Fern “Scottie” Buehler

Fern Scott Buehler (Scottie), with her husband Martin Stowell Buehler, M.D., was very active in civic, cultural and charitable activities in Dallas. A past member of the Northwood National Women’s Board and past officer of the Dallas chapter, she also served as officer for many other organizations. Mrs. Buehler was past chairman of the Dallas Civic Opera Women’s Board and was a member of the Opera Guild. She was past president and television chairman of TACA, Inc., Custom Auction chairman and board chairman. Scottie served on the Crystal Charity Ball Committee, the National Kidney Foundation of Texas, the Rotogravure Committee and was a founding chairman of the Creative Learning Center Women’s Board, a school formed exclusively for the gifted but disadvantaged child. She was a member of the boards of the Dallas Theatre Center, Dallas Museum of Fine Arts, Dallas Summer Musicals, Women’s Committee of the Dallas County Medical Society, Medical Center Auxiliary and March of Dimes.
