Donna Morris is a graduate of Hillsdale College and received a Master’s degree in Guidance and Counseling from Central Michigan University. Following the death of her husband, a judge, she enrolled in the Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and was graduated Juris Doctor in 1977. She has four children. In 1983, she received both the Hillsdale College Outstanding Alumnae Award and the Cooley Law School Outstanding Alumnae Award. Judge Morris is a member of the American Bar Association, State Bar of Michigan, Midland Bar Association, Mid-Michigan Judge’s Association, National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges and the State Judicial Council. She has served as chair of the Mental Health Committee for Michigan Probate Judges’ Association, on the faculty of the Michigan Judicial Institute and she is a director of the Mental Health Association in Michigan. She has been a trustee of the Midland Foundation, trustee and secretary of the Strosacker Foundation, served on the Finance Committee of MidMichigan Medical Center and is a member of Rotary International and the Town & Campus chapter of Northwood’s National Women’s Board.
