Dorothy Haas Rautbord

Dorothy Haas Rautbord is well-known and highly respected as an outstanding leader and philanthropist. She has accumulated a number of awards including the Spirit of Life Award from the City of Hope, the Sylvan Cole Human Relations Award and the National Human Relations Award from the American Jewish Committee, the Highest Honor Award from the American Technion Society and numerous awards for outstanding support and volunteer service from the Boys’ Club, Visiting Nurses Association and Guild of the Science Museum of Palm Beach. She has contributed works of art to the Norton Gallery of Art in West Palm Beach and to the Chicago Art Institute and the Contemporary Museum of Art in Chicago. She has been a board member of the Visiting Nurses Association and founder of its Angel’s Gala, member of the Board of Trustees, American Technion Society, board member of the Boys Club, past president of the Palm Beach Roundtable, member of the Archives of American Art, member of the Board of Trustees, Roosevelt University in Chicago, member of the Northwood University Florida Board of Governors and is a former board member and one of the founders of the Contemporary Museum of Art in Chicago. Mrs. Rautbord is impressed with Northwood University’s emphasis on achievement and is devoted to helping others achieve as well. (Deceased, 2002)
