Martha G. Arnold

Martha Arnold is a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, Berea, Ohio, where she majored in piano and organ. She was a teacher of piano and organ for many years and is Director of Music Emeritus of the Memorial Presbyterian Church in Midland. She has served her alma mater since 1974 as a member of the Board of Trustees and in a number of significant ways. In 1971, she received an honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from Baldwin-Wallace College, and, in 1984, she received a second honorary degree, from Saginaw Valley State University in Michigan. Martha Arnold is a member and former dean of the Saginaw Valley chapter of the American Guild of Organists, has been a member of the board of the Midland Center for the Arts and president of the Midland Community Affairs Council, now a part of the Midland Foundation. She was chairman of the Midland Community Concert Society for twenty years and, in 1985, received a fifty-year award from the Midland King’s Daughters and Sons. (Deceased 2000)
