Acting, beauty and fashion have highlighted the career of MGM screen star Arlene Dahl. Often called the most beautiful redhead in films, Miss Dahl starred in over thirty major motion pictures including “Three Little Words”, “Woman’s World” and “Journey to the Center of the Earth.” Her stage career has included “The King and I”, “Pal Joey” and “Life With Father.” On Broadway she played Roxanne to Jose Ferrer’s Cyrano de Bergerac and starred in the Tony Award winning musical “Applause”. Author of sixteen best-selling books on beauty, fashion and astrology, this versatile actress wrote an internationally syndicated beauty column for twenty years. On television Miss Dahl produced and starred in “Arlene Dahl’s Lovescope” and in addition to her many guest-starring roles played feisty Lucinda King for three years on ABC’s popular soap “One Life to Live.” As a designer, she introduced the Dahl cap in connection with her popular sleepwear line which started the Baby Doll craze in the 50s, designed fashion collections for Vogue Patterns in the 70s and 80s and created a special jewelry line that bears her name. Miss Dahl recently reintroduced her signature fragrance “Dahlia” in select stores throughout the country. Active in many philanthropic groups, this legendary beauty has won ten Laurel Awards for her films, has a Bronze Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, has been named Advertising Woman of the Year, Mother of the Year, Today’s Woman and recently received the Coup de Chapeau at the Deauville film festival for her film work, as well as the Lifetime Achievement Award from Worldfest. Miss Dahl is married to Marc Rosen, an award winning cosmetic package designer and has three special children including television star Lorenzo Lamas.
