Jane W. Norris

Jane, who has “never met a stranger”, has been the wind beneath her family’s wings for forty-eight years. She married Robert C. Norris after graduating from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, in 1950. These days, Jane is the quintessential homemaker who enjoys entertaining. She is an accomplished gourmet cook and has served as hostess for many charitable fundraisers. She’s been active in support of her children’s many activities and accomplishments. Jane and her husband Bob have taken an active role in many civic responsibilities and leadership activities throughout the country, literally from coast to coast. Together they are charter members of the National Cowboy Hall of Fame in Oklahoma City. Jane is involved with the Norris Family Foundation which erected the Norris Civic Center building at Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois and she presently on the BarrowNeurological Institute of Women’s Board of St. Joseph Hospital in Phoenix. She also has a deep and abiding interest in fundraising to assist in the treatment of autism. Jane served as a 1998 Honorary Chair for the “Roundup For Autism” in Fort Worth, Texas. She was a honoree of the Colorado Woman’s Foundation. She and Bob have four children, Steven Norris, Carole N. Sondrup & Leslie N. Penkhus, all of Colorado and Robert of Texas.
