As the first woman elected to the position of Senior Vice President and Profit Center Officer of Individual Markets for Guardian Life Insurance, Eileen McDonnell is a benchmark for success in the financial services industry. In her position, Eileen spearheads the strategic direction, product development, marketing, distribution and operations for Guardian’s individual insurance division, as well as oversees the management of Innovative Underwriters, the company’s recently acquired risk brokerage unit, Park Avenue Securities, LLC, a broker-dealer and Guardian’s Trust Company. Prior to her current assignment, she headed Guardian’s pension business and grew it to over $1.5 billion in assets. Eileen has spent the last fifteen years in the financial services industry and has been instrumental in furthering the advancement of women. She recently launched Guardian’s Women’s Initiative, a program designed to recruit and train field representatives to address the financial needs of women. The launch of the “Girls Going Places” Scholarship Program is another example of her commitment to the advancement of women in finance. In 1999, she was recognized as the “Distinguished Woman of The Year” by the Boy Scouts. She also received Guardian’s “Field Service Award” for her dedicated service to the field associates at Guardian. Eileen received her master’s degree in finance and investment from Adelphi University after earning her bachelor’s degree from Molloy College. She is a registered representative of Park Avenue Securities, LLC. Eileen was raised in a family of six children in Rockville Centre, New York. She now resides in Oradell, New Jersey and is an avid tennis player.
