Jean T.E. Wolf

Jean T.E. Wolf was graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College. She was an apprentice teacher at Shady Hill School, Cambridge, Massachusetts and a teacher at Concord Academy, Concord, Massachusetts. She was employed by the Polaroid Corporation in various capacities including as administrative assistant to Polaroid’s founder, Dr. Edwin H. Land. Mrs. Robert R. Wolf was a founding member of the Executive Committee and former chairman of the Town & Campus chapter of Northwood’s National Women’s Board. She was a member of the founding committee, a board member, recording secretary and president of the Midland Art Council, a member of the fund-raising committee and dedication committee of the Midland Center for the Arts, vice president of Monday Club, member and president of Alpha Guild, vice president and board member of Family and Children’s Service of Midland and secretary of the Visiting Nurse Association of Midland. She once stated of the early days: “Northwood educates directly for one’s job while indirectly preparing for the enjoyment of leisure time. Northwood trains the average student; filling two needs, it reaches a segment of young people not reached before and provides industry and business with trained personnel. Also, Northwood is continually going into new fields — Northwood moves!” (Deceased 1992)
