Alicia Ballard

January 1, 1970

1970 – Peru, Indiana

Alicia Ballard was graduated from the Feagan School of Drama in New York City. She studied medieval art, acted in summer theatre productions and worked in the fashion industry. Alicia and her husband, Charles E. Ballard, were the parents of three children. While the Northwood of Indiana campus was open during the 1960s and 1970s, Mrs. Ballard was active and enthusiastic in calling attention to the college in the Indiana area. The Northwood Indiana campus property and buildings were originally donated by her husband’s father to the Society of Jesus for use as a seminary; later, they were purchased by friends of the University and given to Northwood. Alicia Ballard believed that Northwood furnishes the right kind of leadership by encouraging its students to become highly productive members of our society. (Deceased 1982)
