Frances Tracy

Frances Tracy was a long-time resident of Grosse Pointe Farms. Her husband, Emmet E. Tracy, was president and founder of Alma Products Company. The couple has two sons and two daughters. Active throughout her life in civic and educational affairs, Frances Tracy served as vice president of the board of the Muscular Dystrophy Association, vice president of the League of Catholic Women, member of the board of the Dom Bosco Home for Boys, trustee of Grosse Pointe Academy and member of the board of Morality in Media. She was president of the Altar Society of St. Paul’s Church in Grosse Pointe, of the Discalced Carmelite Auxiliary and of the Parent’s Association of Sacred Heart Convent in Grosse Pointe. She also acted as an Understudy with the Hillberry Theatre. Mrs. Tracy was a member of Northwood’s National Women’s Board and was chairman of the Detroit Women’s Committee. Mr. and Mrs. Tracy graciously served as hosts during the first Distinguished Women’s Award celebration in Detroit in 1970 and were long-time supporters of the University. (Deceased 1995)
