Edna Woodard-Van Riper

Edna O’Nan Woodard Van Riper was born in Frankfort, Kentucky. She is a University of Kentucky graduate and is the owner of the Van Riper Gallery located in The Stutz Business Center in Indianapolis. The Stutz factory building, owned by her son Turner Woodard, was the birthplace of the magnificent Stutz automobile. A past president of the Indianapolis Garden Club (an affiliate of the Garden Club of America), Mrs. Woodard Van Riper continues to participate in major garden activities and has served as zone chairman for the Conservation, Horticultural, Flower Arranging and Nominating Committee and a as board member and Medal Awards chairman. Also, she has been a board member of the Historic Landmarks Foundation of Indiana, was Bi-Centennial chairman for the Indianapolis Garden Club and chairman of the Advisory Committee of the Eagle Creek Nature Center. She has been honored with the Historic Preservation Award and the Garden Club of America Horticultural Committee Award for Horticultural Achievement in the club. Mrs. Woodard Van Riper does find time to relax with her three sons and grandchildren at Lago Mar Place in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
