Countessa Maria Christina Cini Dal Pozzo D’Annone

January 1, 1978

1978 – Rome, Italy

Born in Budapest, Hungary and now a resident of Rome, Italy, Contessa Cini is a citizen of the world. She traveled 154 times during her life, and, between 1980 and 1990, she traveled extensively. Her journeys took her to China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Russia and Bulgaria. Contessa Cini has made ninety films. In them she probed for the common denominator of individual personality that at once differentiates and links the members of the human race. Her strong belief in the value of the individual led her to be a champion of the free enterprise philosophy which fosters full creative development, such as that which was prevalent during the Italian Renaissance. Contessa Cini has given major support to the magnificent Giorgio Cini Foundation on Saint Giorgio’s Island in Venice, its Arts and Crafts Center, its Center of Culture and Civilization, its concerns with world problems and its international conferences which attract artists, scientists and scholars from throughout the world.
