Caroline Leonetti Ahmanson, founder of Caroline Leonetti, Ltd., has been involved in business, cultural, civic, national and world affairs throughout her life, traveling world-wide to encourage cultural exchange and promote business and trade for the United States and the Greater Los Angeles Area. She has been Vice Chairman for the Board of Directors of the National Committee on United States-China Relations and the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, Chairman of the Los Angeles-Guangzhou Sister City Association, Board Member of the Los Angeles-St. Petersburg Sister City Association and Director Emeritus of American Women for International Understanding. She has served on the Board of Governors of the Foreign Policy Association, The Institute of International Education and The Peace Corps’ Advisory Council, the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities and the National Council of the National Endowment for the Humanities by Presidential appointment. Mrs. Ahmanson is also Director Emeritus for the Board of Directors of The Walt Disney Company, has been Vice Chairman of the California Women’s Economic Development Corporation and Special Director Emeritus of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce. She has served on the boards of numerous art museums and organizations and has been awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from the Catholic University in Washington D.C. and Doctor of Laws degree from Notre Dame University. Mrs. Ahmanson taught at Marymount College and High School, Immaculate Heart High School and has lectured throughout the United States. She also appeared on the Art Linkletter Show for twenty-three years as Fashion/Beauty/Charm commentator. She is the widow of financier and philanthropist Howard Ahmanson and resides in Beverly Hills.
