Brenda Cohen Rosenberg

Brenda Rosenberg was born in Detroit, Michigan, the daughter of Belle and Herbert Cohen. Mr. Cohen, a legend to many who knew his Raven Gallery, was a great supporter of the arts and music scenes in Detroit. Brenda attended Mumford High School, Michigan State University and Wayne State University. She is married to Howard Steven Rosenberg, an attorney. Her personal interests include art collecting, tennis, golf and photography. Brenda’s career began in the display department of Saks Fifth Avenue, Detroit. She then became a buyer for Milgrims, a Detroit based specialty store. Next, she joined Hudson’s where she was the first Senior Vice President of Fashion Merchandising and Product Development for all store commodities. She also held the same position for Burdine’s Florida and Federated-Allied Department Stores, New York City. Currently, Brenda has her own consulting company with clients in both fashion retailing and manufacturing. She is an accomplished sculptor and inveterate traveler. With all her many accomplishments, the one project very special to her has been the establishment of the fashion program at Northwood. Brenda’s fashion presentations to students and Midland community members are legend. Her influence in the development of the Northwood program was significant. Her parents’ dedication to youth has been a major influence in her life, and she loves working with students.
