Recognition highlights Northwood’s educational quality, affordability and student outcomes.
Northwood University has been named one of Money’s Best Colleges in America for 2026, earning national recognition in an analysis designed to help students and families identify colleges that deliver quality education, affordability and strong outcomes.
Money evaluated more than 2,400 four-year public and private nonprofit colleges, with 735 institutions meeting the requirements for inclusion in its 2026 Best Colleges rankings. Colleges were assessed using 25 factors across three categories: quality of education, affordability and outcomes.
“We see our inclusion among Money’s Best Colleges as an affirmation of the value of a Northwood University education that combines rigorous academics with practical, career-focused learning,” stated Academic Vice President and Provost Dr. Kristin Stehouwer. “Our students learn from industry-experienced faculty members who know them personally, challenge them to think independently and prepare them to become principled leaders in their professions and communities.”
Money’s methodology examines graduation rates, the outcomes of Pell Grant recipients, student access to instructors, net price, student borrowing, alumni earnings and other measures. Affordability received the greatest weight in the 2026 analysis.
“This recognition provides families with another independent measure of the return they can expect from a Northwood education,” stated Enrollment and Strategic Alliances Vice President Dr. Matthew Bennett. “Students come to Northwood to build the foundation for meaningful careers and lives guided by the principles of freedom, personal responsibility, free enterprise and other tenets of The Northwood Idea.”
“As America’s Free Enterprise University, Northwood’s educational model is intentionally connected to the opportunities and challenges students will encounter after graduation,” added Academic Dean Dr. Stacey Tetloff. “Our graduates leave with more than a credential. They understand how to solve problems, serve others and contribute to economic and social progress.”
