Students enrolled in Northwood University’s International Program Center in Sri Lanka — America National College (ANC) — earned top honors at the 2025 Inter-University Finance Quiz, a flagship event of Investment Week 2025 organized by the Finance Students’ Association at the University of Kelaniya.
Bringing together undergraduates from state and private universities across Sri Lanka, the competition tested participants’ knowledge in finance, economics, and capital markets. The Northwood University–ANC team — composed of Akasha Senewiratne, Raveen David, Manupa Gunawardana, Nuwani Seneviratne, and Tharuki Rathnaweera — emerged victorious, winning the Acuity Champions Trophy and a grand prize of 70,000 Sri Lankan rupees.
“This achievement is a testament to the academic excellence, critical thinking, and global business acumen fostered through Northwood’s programs,” stated Academic Vice President and Provost Dr. Kristin Stehouwer. “Our students in Sri Lanka have distinguished themselves by demonstrating the same leadership and entrepreneurial spirit that defines The Northwood Idea around the world.”
The inter-university finance quiz competition is conducted annually by the University of Kelaniya in collaboration with both government and private universities across the nation.
Northwood University has been offering degree programs at its International Program Center in Sri Lanka in collaboration with ANC Education since 2004. Through this partnership, students in Sri Lanka can earn a Northwood University degree while developing the free-enterprise mindset, analytical skills, and professional readiness that distinguish Northwood graduates globally.
