Northwood Texas Names Natasha Norman Homecoming Queen and Brandon Mason King

CEDAR HILL, Texas – On Saturday, October 5 before Crossing Over, Natasha Norman was named as this year’s homecoming queen and Brandon Mason was crowned homecoming king.

Natasha Norman is a senior from El Paso, TX majoring in marketing.  She is president of the Student Government Association and the Campus Activities Board (CAB).  Natasha is also a member of the Strategic Planning Committee, a Student Leader, Royal Ambassador and a member of DECA.  Brandon Mason is a senior from Shertz, Texas majoring in management.  He is the Royal Ambassador President, a Student Leader, Resident Assistant and a member of the ESPM Club and DECA.

Candidates for the Homecoming Court were nominated by their peers a week before homecoming and campaigned the week of homecoming.

Homecoming prince and princess were juniors, Luzely Lopez and Dominic Barcelon.  Luzely is a management major from Liberty, TX.  She is Vice President of Royal Ambassadors, a Student Leader and a member of DECA and Kappa Delta Chi Interest Group. Dominic Barcelon is from Kodiak, AL majoring in accounting.  Dominic is a Royal Ambassador, Student Leader, member of the Campus Activities Board and an accounting tutor. 

The Homecoming Court consisted of sophomores and freshmen.  Freshmen court representatives were Yolanda Sanchez and Chad Lockhart.  Yolanda Sanchez is a sophomore from Mission, TX, majoring in marketing and is a member of the ESPM Club, DECA and Kappa Delta Chi Interest Group.  Sophomore, Chad Lockhart from Fort Worth, Texas is pursuing a degree in management.  Chad is a spokesperson for Knights for Christ, Vice President of Omega Delta Phi Northwood Colony, school mascot, a Royal Ambassador and a DECA member.

Freshmen court representative were Norma Benevides and Raul Chavez.  Norma Benevides is from Laredo, TX. She is a management major and a member of Kappa Delta Chi Interest Group, Automotive Club, Campus Activities Board and Student Government Association. Raul Chavez, is a marketing major from McAllen, TX.  Raul is a member of the Campus Activities Board, DECA and a Perspective member of Omega Delta Phi Northwood Colony. 

Homecoming freshman nominees were Raul Chavez, Oscar Naranjo, Shonn Hironaga, Norma Benavides, Alexis Holleman and Stacy Michelle Campbell.  Sophomore nominees were Chad Lockhart, Jiovanni Petroni, Yolanda Sanchez, Andrea Tamez and Megan Spence.  Junior nominees were Dominic Barcelon, Bryan Tryon, Luzely Lopez, Sarah Martinez and Laura NeKrasaite.  Senior nominees were Brandon Mason, Wally Trejo, Natasha Norman, Ashley Torres and Monica Perez.
