As the new academic year approaches, many Northwood University students and parents are taking advantage of early orientation activities.
Florida students and parents recently enjoyed both informative and entertaining events designed to provide a strong foundation for both academic and extracurricular success.
Featuring a meet and greet session and an amphibious tour of the Palm Beaches on the famous 'Diva Duck,' the occasions included opportunities to meet with academic and financial aid counselors, register for classes, secure student identification cards, tour the housing facilities, and more.
"Every orientation provides additional reminders of why I love to work for Northwood University. We have a great group of students joining us this year, and it was inspiring to meet many of their parents as well," said Carol Wagmeister, EXCEL Program Coordinator and Assistant to the Dean of Students, who added that the land and water tour provided a memorable opportunity for visitors to view the Palm Beaches.
Diva Duck Amphibious Tours have provided a one-of-a-kind way to experience the best of West Palm Beach by land and on water since 2002. Housed in a large warehouse space (or 'duck nest'), the vehicle is a second home to several tour guides who memorize music cues and a 14 page script for the tours.
The next Northwood University Florida Early Orientation will be held on July 26th, 2013.
