Northwood University Alumni Prepare for Summer Engagement Activities

Northwood Texas Alumni at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington

CEDAR HILL, Texas – Students may be on break for the summer months, but the Texas Alumni Network is as busy as ever. Several activities are planned to welcome our newest graduates to the alumni family, as well as opportunities to engage our seasoned alumni with their alma mater.

An event on June 6th will help kick off the summer event calendar. The Texas Alumni Leadership Council invites all alumni to join them from 6:00-8:00PM at The Oasis at Joe Pool Lake for ‘Aloha Knight.’ Known for its delicious food and beautiful views of Joe Pool Lake, this location will serve as a great place for alumni to kick off their summer together.

What’s even more unique about this event is that alumni in Michigan and Florida will also be getting together that same evening, creating a continental connection for all Northwood University graduates. Alumni in Michigan will gather at The Community House, while Florida graduates will be participating in their 3rd Annual Alumni Bowling Event.

In mid-June Texas alumni will attend the 2nd Annual Knights Out at the Rangers Ballpark in Arlington. For a special alumni discounted price, participants can cheer on the Texas Rangers against the Oakland Athletics while enjoying an All You Can Eat buffet. “Last year’s Ranger game event was such a success.  I’m looking forward to seeing everyone there again on the 18th. It’s a wonderful opportunity for alumni to make connections with one another while also enjoying a fun, American pastime,” shared Natasha Elder, Director of Alumni Relations.

And that’s not all. Plans for an August bowl-a-thon, September Resume Refresher course and a charity 5K in November are in store for the fall.  In addition, Saturday, October 5th marks a milestone for the Texas campus.  We will be celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Crossing Over Ceremony which began on the Texas campus.
