Volunteer & Community Service

Students are encouraged to assist the campus and local community in a variety of service projects. Approved activities must meet the following criteria:

  1. The activity must demonstrate a benefit to others.
  2. The student may not receive compensation for the activity.
  3. The activity may occur on or off campus.
  4. A minimum of eight (8) accumulated hours of participation is required.
  5. Credit may be earned according to all participation.
SUGGESTED MENU OF ACTIVITIES
  • Adopt-A-Highway Clean Up
  • Bryan's House -children with Aids
  • Cedar Hill Food Pantry
  • Cedar Hill Trash Off -community trash pick-up
  • Children United
  • Church Involvement
  • Education- tutoring for hospitals, area schools, or adult literacy
  • Educational Development- designed and ran by students
  • Habitat for Humanity
  • Help Paint a Dream
  • School Supply Drives
  • Visit Nursing Homes
