  3. Students must maintain membership for a minimum of one (1) term.

Benefits

The responsibility and decision to join organizations belongs to the individual and should reflect the individual’s interests and commitment.

  • Joining a campus organization is one of the best ways to become involved in campus life.
  • Choose the organization(s) that fit the individual’s interests.
  • Collegiate organizations are different than high school organizations.
  • Begin building a network of peers and community members.
  • Enjoy an enriched university experience.
Take the First Step

The first step is identifying a group or organization. The Student Groups Director works with many student organizations. The director is located in Student Services in the Hopkins Building. If you are having trouble finding a place to get involved, stop by and talk to one of the staff members.

New Organizations

Some students choose to form new organizations that reflect their interests and goals. This is a fairly simple process, and is initiated by contacting the Student Groups Director. Involvement in organizations is on a voluntary basis, but is strongly encouraged. Be aware that some organizations require dues or fees as stated in the organization constitution or bylaws.
