What to Bring
The following are suggested items for move in day, and a list of items that are not allowed.
It is strongly encouraged that all personal property be permanently marked with either your state ID#, the last 4 digits of your social security number or your name. It is recommended that large or expensive items are marked with an engraving pen.
SUGGESTIONS:
- Microwave
- Small personal refrigerators
- Small electric household appliances: (example)
- box fans
- George Foreman grill
- coffee maker
- lamps, blender
- TV/stereo (See the Housing Handbook for quiet hours regulations)
- Mattress pad(s) for mattress
- Iron and ironing board
- Hangers
- Entertainment center or storage space (for the TV/stereo)
- Small shelves or over door storage for shoes
- Narrow tables or bookcases for storage
- Disposable plates/cups/silverware/containers (i.e., Gladware for storage)
DO NOT BRING:
- Pets (exception: FISH, in a small aquarium)
- Hot plates
- Gas appliances, grills, stove
- Candles or incenses
- Water beds or personal beds from home
- Wall mounted shelves
- Nails for walls
- Fire arms or fire works (paintball guns included)
DON’T FORGET:
- Sheets/bedding for TWIN size bed
- Pillow
- Towels
- Shower caddy
- Flip-flops for shower
- Phone for room
- Alarm clock
- Laundry bag or basket
- Detergent and fabric softener for laundry
