Lady Knights Golf

The Northwood University Lady Knights golf team completed their 2006 - 2007 season finishing 22nd at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championship in San Marcos, CA.  The Lady Knights participated in their 8h National Championship in nine years including the last five years in a row.  The 2007 - 2008 squad features two returning lettermen in senior Bethany Pesek and sophomore Michelle Ward along with six new signees to the program.  New to the team will be sophomore transfer Nora Quinters from Valley Mills, Texas, freshmen Tia Cox, Lin Kerr, Candice Gutierrez, Meghann Stevens, and Kayla Wilson.  "I made a commitment to the team to reload talent not rebuild the team and I feel that the mission has been accomplished," said Coach Gary Belt.  "This year will be very exciting for the Lady Knights golf team.  We have the combination of experience, talent, and youth to be very explosive beginning this year."
