Welcome to Northwood University - Texas Baseball
First year head coach Jeremy Kennedy announces the recruiting class for 2007-2008.
Kyle Gainley is a transfer left handed pitcher from UT-Arlington. Kyle was a starting pitcher at UTA and will pitch at the top of the rotation this spring. Gainley had a big freshman year at UTA which included a win over the University of Texas and a start in the UT regional in Austin.
Shane Bagley is a shortstop from South Alabama Community College. Shane will play shortstop and hit at the top of the order.
RJ Harris is a transfer outfielder from UT-Arlington. RJ will play either center or left field and hit at the top of the order. RJ had a very successful summer, hitting over .320 for the Wichita Falls Wranglers in the Texas Collegiate League.
Bobby Jones is a catcher/corner guy from Galveston Community College. Bobby will share catching duties and hit in the middle of the order. Bobby will also compete in the infield at first, second, and third base.
Will Schneider is a left handed pitcher from Galveston Community College. Will was a starter at Galveston College and is expected to fill that same role for the Knights.
Alex Braly is a right handed pitcher from Paris Junior College. Alex was a starting pitcher during his sophomore campaign at Paris and will compete for that same role at Northwood.
Robbie Gonzales is an infielder from Cedar Valley College. Robbie played shortstop and third base at Cedar Valley. He also saw time on the mound. Robbie will compete for a job at both second base and third base. Robbie will likely see time out of the bullpen for the Knights.
Ron Santos is a catcher from Mountain View College. Ron was the starting catcher at Mountain View and will compete behind the plate this fall.
Garret Randle is a right handed pitcher from Nimitz High School in Irving, TX. Garret has a power arm and is expected to have a significant role as a freshman.
Colin Budd is a utility player from Newman Smith high school. Colin is expected to compete for a spot at second base and in the outfield.
Ruben Jaramillo is a right handed pitcher from Baytown Lee High School. Ruben will compete for innings out of the bullpen as a freshman.
Landry Tidwell is a second baseman from Corsicana High School. Landry will compete at second base in the fall.
Josh Matthews is a middle infielder from Haltom High School. Josh will compete in the infield this fall.
AJ Schneider is an outfielder from North Crowley High School. AJ will compete in the outfield this fall.
