The Crossing Over Ceremony began in 2004 and symbolizes the crossing over of Northwood University alumni, students, employees, and friends of the university from various backgrounds. The ceremony bonds participants with an induction into Knighthood.

As Northwood University Knights, participants pledge allegiance to the task of continually promoting the Northwood Idea. The Knights constituency promotes the individual freedoms of men and women throughout the world. The Knights’ Medallion symbolizes a commitment to practice and promote the Northwood Idea philosophy.

The Crossing Over Ceremony will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 during Homecoming.
