Management Information Systems/Management BBA
The dual Management Information Systems/Management major focuses on course work designed to place graduates on the leading edge of the information systems job market. Computer usage and business systems applications are at the core of this program. A thesis is completed in the final term.
As information management becomes an increasingly critical resource for organizations, the need to train and educate technology leaders grows. Northwood University's Management Information Systems program helps students learn the steps to collect, process, store, and use information. The program aims at training graduates with both technical and business-related knowledge. The faculty understands that effective systems analysis and design requires proficiency in state-of-the-art technologies, as well as developing a solid foundation of accounting and management principles.
Instructors are industry professionals dedicated to including practical, as well as theoretical foundations for students. As a result, Management Information Systems classes are not artificially difficult. Extensive math or computer experience is not required. Students gain the background necessary to transfer into specialized curriculums or to enter into business management positions.
As companies continue to hire individuals with information systems backgrounds for executive level positions, Northwood strives to produce graduates that are equipped with the knowledge and skills to seize such opportunities.
